Emilie recently joined PURRE based in the Fort Myers office. She previously spent two years reporting on the government of the City of Sanibel for the Island Reporter. Prior to moving to Fort Myers in 1992, Emilie worked for more than 20 years in the Public Relations department of Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, a gas-and-electric utility in Syracuse, New York, with a 24,000-square-mile service territory and more than 2 million customers. She has exentensive experience writing and editing publications, in media relations and event planning, and also chaired the utility employees' Political Education Committee. Emilie also has years of administrative work in her professional background.
